A shell-shocked occupation survivor living in a structurally unsafe and partially destroyed building, condemned by authorities, with no water or utilities. Temporary housing had not yet been arranged and people had no other place to live at that time. The building was the site of war crimes (civilian massacres). Post-liberation life was very chaotic, with scenes of families cooking over campfires, blood-smeared rooms where neighbors were killed, and wild dogs roaming everywhere, in what was before the invasion an equivalent of a modern American 'bedroom community' of mostly middle-class residents, many of whom commuted by bus and train to Capital City - Kyiv, for jobs.

In early June 2022, evacuees and survivors of the occupation were enjoying one of the first nice warm summer days since liberation a few weeks prior. The pictured two buildings in the background destroyed are actually two halves of one building cleaved in two by a powerful russian air strike in February, 2022, killing dozens of residents.
